On the occasion of the ECSS Congress at Lausanne, a public lecture is held to introduce citizens to one of the most critical topics in sports science: concussion in sport.
"Concussion in sport" is an event designed to inform young athletes, parents, coaches, and sports enthusiasts about the realities of concussions and the innovative solutions being developed to protect athletes. It will bring together medical experts, researchers, industry innovators and sports organisations to discuss risks, prevention strategies and emerging solutions.
Through real-life examples, expert talks, and discussions, participants will gain a better understanding of:
- how concussions occur
- their short- and long-term consequences
- how science and technology are helping reduce risks
