This pre-Congress activity bridges the gap between strength training and sprint performance by demonstrating how force and power development in the weight room translate into acceleration and maximal speed on the track.
Designed for sport scientists, strength & conditioning coaches, researchers and performance specialists, this immersive session combines scientific evidence with live practical demonstrations. Participants will explore force–velocity principles, sprint biomechanics, monitoring strategies and real-time coaching applications.
Programme:
- Introduction about the Swiss Strength and Conditioning Association (SSCA)
- Strength & power development in the gym led by Chris Wooley (national trainer at Swiss-Sliding)
- Transfer to sprint mechanics and acceleration on the track led by Chriss Wooley (national trainer at Swiss-Sliding)
This applied format ensures immediate transferability to coaching practice while remaining grounded in contemporary sport science literature.
Minimum participation requires 20 people and it is limited to 40 people. A registration link will be provided soon!
