ECSS offers three (3) ECSS Travel Grants of €600 each. These grants are available independently of participation in the ECSS YIA competition. During the abstract submission process, submitters can opt-in for the ECSS Travel Grant.

To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Not previously awarded an ECSS Travel Grant.
• Select “Yes - I wish to apply for the ECSS Travel Grant” during abstract submission.
• Upload proof of university affiliation (in English; in ECSS account) from a country listed up to Lower Middle Income Countries¹, according to the DAC List of ODA Recipients.
• Upload proof of current residence (in English; in ECSS account) from a country listed up to Lower Middle Income Countries¹, according to the DAC List of ODA Recipients.
• Accepted abstract for the 31st ECSS Annual Congress - ECSS Lausanne 2026 (Notification to authors: 1 April 2026).

Please note: If awarded a Travel Grant, the Congress registration fee must be paid before the Travel Grant payment is issued.
