Presenters (i.e., first authors) must be registered and have paid the congress registration fee by 26 April 2024 to guarantee publication of their abstract in the eBook of Abstracts and the scientific programme. Late registrations will lead to an exclusion of the abstract in the eBook of Abstracts and from the scientific programme.

Oral Presentation

Oral presentations include a 10-minute PowerPoint (16:9) presentation followed by 5 minutes of discussion. The use of your own laptop or USB stick is not permitted. Embedded videos are not permitted in the presentation, only external links.

Oral presentations must be pre-uploaded via your ECSS account or in the Speakers Ready Room one day before your presentation at the latest. The online upload starts on 21 May and the requirement is a .ppt or .pptx file with a maximum size of 10MB. 

Conventional Print Poster Presentation (debated)

Conventional print posters are in A0 (height: 120cm, width: 90cm) size and portrait (vertical) format. Its presentation time is 3 minutes followed by 2 minutes of discussion. Poster presentations do not require a PowerPoint presentation. As a presenter of a conventional print poster, you need to place your poster on the designated poster board in the morning of the presentation and remove it directly after the poster session ended. A pre-upload is NOT required. Poster patches will be provided on-site. Please arrive 5 minutes prior to your session start to get introduced to the chair and the session process.

E-poster (not debated)

E-posters require the size 140cm (55in) width x 79cm (31in) height in landscape (horizontal) format. The E-poster must be pre-uploaded in PDF format (one slide only) until 25 June 2024 via your ECSS account. The online upload starts on 21 May. Abstracts accepted in this format will be published in the eBook of Abstracts of the Annual Congress. In addition, the E-poster will be made available online and on-screen. The E-poster format can be accessed at any time during the congress, using widescreen TVs located in the E-poster area. There is, therefore, no formal presentation time, and no formalised discussion time. If discussion is required, presenters will be contacted directly (by email) by interested parties.
