Join for an engaging and inclusive masterclass designed to empower early career researchers. This thought-provoking session will feature senior researchers who will share their career journeys, discuss gender-specific and general challenges and offer actionable advice for navigating the academic landscape. A panel discussion will follow, which will explore key themes and audience questions in a dynamic discussion, providing deeper insights into overcoming barriers in academia.

To tailor the session, we’ll circulate a questionnaire beforehand. Your responses will help us address the most pressing challenges faced by early career female researchers today. This masterclass is open to everyone—recognising that diversity, collaboration and being a male ally are vital in addressing shared and unique challenges within academia.

Session organised in collaboration with Amelia Carr, Shona Halson, Anne Hecksteden, Florentia Hettinga, Dionne Noordhof, Maria Francesca Piacentini, Bettina Wollesen.

Date: Tuesday, 1 July
Time: 09:00 – 10:30
