Background
The Bengt Saltin Run, sponsored by h/p/cosmos and City Council of Seville and IMD, is a 5km memorial run in honour of Professor Bengt Saltin, a founding member and Patron of the European College of Sport Science. The event is organised by ECSS in collaboration with the Pablo de Olavide University of Seville, and h/p/cosmos. Pablo de Olavide University is proud to announce that Ms Carolina Robles, a finalist in the 3000m steeplechase in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and a former graduate of sport science from Pablo de Olavide Sport Science Faculty, will be the Patron of the 6th ECSS Bengt Saltin Run. The event will be raising funds to help a local charity.
The Ramón Grosso Foundation
The aim of the foundation is to empower women in Chad through education, sports and health. It uses sport as an engine of change, a method of integration and a motivational tool to prepare future doctors, engineers, politicians...women of the future who will intervene in the construction of a more equitable modern Chadian society. In 2020 the foundation sent six Chadian girls to school in Spain through sports scholarships.
