Following an extensive bidding process, ECSS has appointed Dryfta as the successor of SporTools, becoming the ECSS data management provider. The selection followed a detailed evaluation of service providers and their solutions, with Dryfta identified as the partner best suited to support ECSS with efficient and effective event management tools.
The contract was signed during the 31st ECSS Annual Congress in Lausanne, marking the beginning of the partnership. Dryfta offers a comprehensive suite of tools tailored to academic and scientific events, allowing ECSS to bring together several key areas of its event management within one platform.
These include an abstract and review system to support the submission and peer-review process, event registration and ticketing to simplify registration and booking options and event programming and scheduling to support the planning and organisation of sessions and activities, among others.

An event app will give participants convenient access to programme information, networking opportunities and updates during events, as well as many more tools and options supporting our ECSS Office behind the scenes, streamlining event processes and providing a more integrated approach to managing the different stages of ECSS activities, from submission and registration through to programme delivery and participant communication.
The transition to the new system will take place in the coming months, with the implementation process now getting underway. Once the new system and processes are finalised, ECSS will contact its members with further information and guidance on reviewing and updating their account and personal data. Further information, including details of any action required from members, will be shared as the transition progresses.
