The main scientific event in our calendar each year is our annual congress. And how excited we are to be heading to Sevilla, Spain for our 27th Annual Congress. The theme for ECSS 2022 is “Sport Science in the Heart of Arts” and it will be held from 31 August – 2 September 2022.

From October 15, 2021, the online system for submission of proposals for both plenary and invited symposia will be open. We encourage all members to actively participate in the building of the invited program. Submissions can be made through your ECSS account.

Proposals undergo review by the ECSS Scientific Board and Committee, and the Local Scientific Committee, and must fulfill the criteria clearly indicated at the beginning of the submission process. Selection is based on novelty, relevance and scientific quality.

As always, our aim is to have a Scientific Programme that offers a wide range of innovative new research and one that represents the best of science within the five disciplinary fields of ECSS

  • Biomechanics and Motor Control
  • Physiology and Nutrition
  • Psychology, Social Science and Humanities
  • Sports and Exercise Medicine and Health
  • Applied Sports Sciences

The deadline for submissions is January 6, 2022 (12:00 CET), and all submitters will be notified of the decision at the beginning of February 2022. Please also note that the submitter needs to be a fully paid member of ECSS.
