The Special Interest Group in Environmental Physiology connects sports scientists and other sport stakeholders (e.g., athletes, coaches) who share an interest in exercising under various environmental conditions. We discuss all types of exercise, including team sports, Olympic sports, and extreme events, as well as different exposures such as training, competing, and recovery. Our focus areas encompass heat, cold, hypoxia, gravity, pollution, and other environmental stressors.
Our annual meeting aims to foster greater interactivity compared to the regular in-program symposia, providing a platform for exchanging ideas through debates, guest invitees, and panel discussions.
