By air

San Pablo Airport (SVQ) or Seville airport is located in the south of Spain, 10 kilometres north-east of the Sevillian capital. It is the main airport serving the Western Andalucia region, being the main base for Vueling and Ryanair low-cost carriers.

Jerez International Airport is only 30-40 minutes by train from Seville, making this airport an arrival destination from many European cities. Almost 30 cities are connected to Jerez.

Malaga International Airport – this airport is located 214 km from Seville and is connected to the most important European capitals. With 20 million passengers per year and its connections to America and Asia, this airport is ranked third in Spain in terms of flight volume.

By train

The main train station (Seville Santa Justa) is located in the city centre connected by metro to the rest of the city. There are a number of daily connections from major European cities.

By bus

There are two bus stations in Seville, both located in the city centre: the Prado de San Sebastian bus station, which serves the rest of the Andalucia region, and the ‘Plaza de Armas bus station, which links Seville to Huelva, other regions of Spain and even to Portugal.

Public transport

Congress participants will have access to free public transport (metro, bus and tram) during the congress.

Tourist information

The Seville Convention Bureau is the official local tourism partner for ECSS Sevilla 2022 and offers many trips and cultural experiences for congress participants at competitive rates. Please visit the SCB website to make a booking.

Congress discounts

All registered participants of ECSS Sevilla 2022 are entitled to a 50% discount when purchasing tickets for a tour of the Sevilla FC Stadium. Tours must take place between 1–4 September 2022. Congress accreditation must be presented when purchasing tickets at the Sevilla FC Official Store at the Stadium (C. Sevilla Fútbol Club, s/n, 41015 Sevilla).

The new conference and exhibition centre (also known as ‘FIBES II’) has become one of the most prominent and modern venues in Europe since opening in September 2012, targeting large scale events with an international scope. This is the place where ECSS 2022 will be held. This impressive centre is ideally designed for meetings and is adjacent to the original building.
To participate in ECSS Sevilla 2022, you will be asked to register for the congress. Registration is only available through your ECSS account. To register you will be asked to enter your existing ECSS account or create a new ECSS account. Please note: registration will be completed once you have paid the registration fee. Payment is not required to submit an abstract.
