The first European Journal of Sport Science (EJSS) Best Paper Award ceremony took place at ECSS MetropolisRuhr 2017. The selection process was coordinated by the Editor-in-Chief and the 16 Section Editors of the journal. You can read more about the process here.

The first EJSS Best Paper Award winner was Dr Lennart Raudsepp with his work “Bidirectional association between sedentary behaviour and depressive symptoms in adolescent girls”.

  • 900 submissions in 2016
  • 70 submitting countries
  • 90 % rejection rate
  • 17 days from submission to decision
