Mini abstract
Injury data and internal training loads from nationally ranked, Australian tennis players were analysed. Subsequent rolling averages of acute and chronic load values were then calculated. Different combinations of acute:chronic load and their ratios were assessed for their association to injury risk via mixed effects logistic regression reported as odds ratios (OR). These findings can help practitioners to prescribe workloads to simultaneously enhance physical capacities and minimise injury risk.
