The opening reception takes place in the exhibition area where everyone is free to network and relax after the first congress day. Finger food and a welcome drink will be offered and a cash bar will be available. Background music by DJ Toto.

Lunch is served from Thursday to Saturday for every congress participant between 12:45 and 14:00. Please remember to pre-book your lunch online through your ECSS account. In addition, there will be several coffee breaks during each congress day.

THE 1ST ECSS EXHIBITION RAFFLE – MESSE ESSEN

By participating the competition delegates have the possibility to win a unique ECSS iPad and great product prizes sponsored by ECSS exhibitors! Delegates receive a raffle coupon with their congress bag. To make use of this coupon attendees need to visit selected exhibitors and complete a task given at their exhibition booth. After accomplishing the task delegates will get awarded with the company stamp on their coupon. Once collected at least ten stamps, they qualify for the raffle which will take place on Saturday at the ECSS information booth (exhibition ends on Friday at 18:00).

MOVIE LUNCH "TOWN OF RUNNERS" – MESSE ESSEN

ECSS offers you the opportunity to watch an interesting documentary of Kenyan runners during the lunch break on Saturday.

‘Town Of Runners’ (www.townofrunners.com) is a feature documentary about young people from the Ethiopian rural town of Bekoji, whose runners have won 8 Olympic gold medals, 32 world championships and broken 10 world records in the last 20 years. The film follows two young females as they strive to emulate their local heroes, making the journey from school track to national competition and from childhood to adulthood. Their mentor is a former PE teacher who has discovered and trained many of the world’s leading long distance runners including Tirunesh and Genzebe Dibaba, Kenenisa Bekele and Deratu Tulu.


CLOSING CEREMONY – MESSE ESSEN
