Video transcript start:
They investigated the coaching education and academic background of high performance team coaches. The coaches completed an online questionnaire before undertaking a semi-structured qualitative interview. The results show that formal education courses are not meeting the demands of high performance coaches, who prefer to learn from more informal settings, relying on self-directed learning and coaching experience to continue to develop. More research is needed to examine how this learning is applied in practice.
